Today’s episode is a little heavier, but it’s one of the most important conversations we can have. After recently losing a dear friend, I’ve been reflecting deeply on the lessons loss teaches us. These are reminders we all need: to stop waiting, to live with intention, to savor the little things, and to love loudly and unapologetically.
Loss shakes us awake. It reminds us that tomorrow isn’t promised and the “perfect time” doesn’t exist. So instead of waiting for someday, we need to live today.
✨ In this episode, I share 10 powerful lessons loss has taught me:
Make your health a priority (yes, book the mammogram!)
Save for tomorrow, but don’t miss today
Take the trip… big or small, it’s always worth it
Forgive quickly and set yourself free

Hey mamas,
Today we’re flipping the script on one of the most overused (and misunderstood) phrases out there: work-life balance.
For years, we’ve been told to picture balance like a scale… work on one side, life on the other, perfectly even. But here’s the problem: that image sets us up for guilt, burnout, and disappointment. Because your job should never weigh the same as your entire life.
In this episode, I share a fresh perspective I use with my coaching clients: balancing stones.
Instead of a scale, picture those beautiful stacks of rocks you see at the beach or on a hike. Each stone is a different size and shape… some massive, some tiny. And yet, when carefully placed, they create something stable and beautiful. That’s what balance actually looks like. Not equal weight, but intentional placement.
What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
✨ Why the traditional idea of work-life balance doesn’t work (and what to do instead)✨ How to identify your personal “stones”… the roles and values that matter most in your life✨ Which stones belong at the foundation of your stack (hint: it’s not work or house chores)✨ Why health and self-care aren’t selfish extras but essential stabilizers✨ The small, everyday stones that bring the biggest joy and stability✨ Three practical ways to keep your “stack” from wobbling or crashing down

Hi Mamas,
This week’s Monday Mindset Reset is inspired by a whirlwind of a week… but in the best way. I was asked to be a virtual guest speaker at the CEO Mom Breakthrough Summit… a space for moms who are chasing their dreams, building businesses, and still choosing to be present, intentional mamas. What an honor to be included!
My contribution to the summit was a 30-minute workshop where I teach my Meal Planning Made Simple method. Which sounds simple… but behind the scenes it meant creating a workshop from scratch, building the presentation, recording, teaching myself to edit video for the first time, and submitting it on deadline… all while still working my corporate job, managing kids’ activities, fitting in a date night with Russ, and keeping up with life.
