163. Mindset Reset: End Of Year Reflections - Why You Haven’t Failed as a Working Mom

Hi mamas,

As 2025 approaches, it’s time to reflect on the past year—what went well, what didn’t, and how we can use those lessons to create a better year ahead. In this episode, we dive into the mindset shift inspired by Thomas Edison’s quote: “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” If you’re an ambitious working mom who’s been hard on yourself about missed goals or setbacks, this episode is here to remind you that failure isn’t the end—it’s part of the journey.

My challenge for you this week mamas is to reflect and reimagine with these 3 steps:

  1. List Your Lessons: Grab a journal or a piece of paper and write down three moments from the past year that felt like failures. Then, beside each one, write what you learned from it.
  1. Reframe Failure: Choose one “failure” and reframe it as a win.
  2. Set an Experiment: Pick one thing to try differently this week.

I'd love to hear what failure you’re going to reframe! Head on over to our Facebook community Work-Life Balance For Working Moms and tell us all about it and you can help inspire other moms, just like you.
